A series of portraits of the people I know and the things they do on a daily basis. Portraiture usually captures a person at their best, at a significant point in their lives, but in this series, I try to capture the moments that bear absolutely no significance. These moments are seemingly not a part of a person's emotional constructs, collective or individual memory, but I would argue that they are more relevant than we assume. By not carrying within them the framework of an important life event, we are able to exploit these moments more thoroughly. In addition, I wanted to glamorize mundane tasks we do everyday (brushing our teeth, waiting for water to boil, etc.) especially with regard to technology and internet culture, where laptops are a pervasive and extremely commodified object.
